Amazing location. Comfortable, compact and quiet room with terrace and stunning view of Acropolis. I only wish I’d had more time in Athens but given the location it was perfect area from which to explore. Continental breakfast was welcome for the early starts. Would absolutely stay here again.

Above all, Philippos Hotel employs a very professional and capable concierge/office staff. They arranged travel arrangements for our party of 4 and an evening dinner where we enjoyed stunning views of the Parthenon. In addition to the staff, our room was well laid out and comfortable with a small refrigerator. Nice outdoor patio with a view of the Parthenon. Breakfast is included and it is extensive. Very well done. But most importantly, the hotel is located near the Acropolis and within easy walking distance to the neighborhoods of Athens. Nearby also are a local grocery store/mini mart, coffee shop, and bakery.

Wonderful welcoming hotel from arrival in the early hours to help on departure. Our room on the 5th floor was beautifully appointed with large terrace and stunning view of Acropolis. Comfortable beds, room serviced daily, such friendly staff. And super bathroom with a bath, unusual for Greece. Breakfast was delicious with savoury and sweet options. The hotel is in a perfect safe location for metro, museums, restaurants (and the best coffee and cakes at Alchemist nearby). Cannot emphasise enough our enthusiasm for this lovely hotel.

Initially the hotel I wanted was sold out, I was disappointed and chose this hotel as an alternative. What I did not realize is that the Phillipos is in a perfect location to walk to the Acropolis, The Plaka, and Monastiraki. We took a bike tour and were able to walk to the store front. It was perfect. Also, we were placed in the mini suite, which sounds like it could be interesting, it had a private balcony that faced the Acropolis and at night it was so beautiful. The breakfast was also lovely. Typical Greek and large breakfast, it was so yummy. No one could go hungry.

The room for three (mom and two daughters) was so comfortable and we had a view of the Parthenon from a large balcony! The hotel is steps from the center of the Acropolis and Plaka. Lovely location! The staff was excellent as they arrange a transfer from the airport, gave great recommendations for places to eat, were available always, and made our stay very comfortable. The room for the "boys" was a double and much smaller, but perfectly serviceable.

The hotel was so central to everything. We had a stunning view from our balcony looking up to The Acropolis. A very short walk to the Acropolis, the Museum and to the metro station. Plaka just a 10 minute walk through the beautiful market streets. If available book the small room with Acropolis view, the balcony is huge, it has sun loungers and a table and chairs, it's completely private. It would be perfect if the weather was warm, we still managed to take advantage even though it was winter.

The location was great but the absolute standout was the staff. They noticed that it was my birthday on my ID when I checked in. Not only did they wish me a happy birthday but they put a handwritten message and a piece of cake in my room. They also organized a late night taxi to the airport for me and basically took care of everything I needed while I was there.

The location was really hard to beat - we had a view of the Acropolis from the hotel roof! A short walk up the hill and you are at the museum. Go a little further and the Parthenon is in plain sight.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Athens that boasts a stunning view of the Acropolis, and it did not disappoint. The location is perfect, being close to the city center and all major attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the vibrant city. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and waking up to the sight of the Acropolis is truly magical.
